Middle Harbour Yacht Club, located at the Spit, Mosman, some 7 kilometres north of Sydney's CBD was established in 1939/40.
The Club, established in 1939/40, boasts an outstanding track record of hosting numerous high profile corporate and competitive regattas including the Property Industry Foundation Regatta, ASX Reuters Charity Foundation Regatta and curtain raiser to the Rolex Sydney Hobart, the Short Ocean Racing Championship.
Building on this strong history, the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta was established in 2006. The event was conceived to provide an opportunity for sailors to participate in a weekend regatta on Sydney Harbour. The event is designed for all sailors and in doing so, also invites the participation of IRC, PHS, one design classes and non-spinnaker cruising yachts. At the inaugural Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta the event attracted over 220 yachts. This has now grown to see over 275 yachts in the events 2nd year.
The Club is an outstanding host venue for the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta. The Sandbar and deck transform to become the "Audi Village", a centre for the many VIP's who visit over the weekend. The adjacent shoreside beach become the centre for competitors to enjoy the post race entertainment.
Membership is open for non-sailors who wish to enjoy the many shoreside activities that take place over the regatta weekend, and in fact year-round.
